Mahendra Baahubali, the son of the legendary Amarendra Baahubali, finally avenges his father's death by killing the tyrant Bhallaladeva. He ascends the throne of Mahishmati and weds his beloved Avantika. The people rejoice in his coronation and celebrate his benevolent rule.
But this happy ending was not easy to achieve. It was preceded by a dark and twisted plot, orchestrated by a vengeful enemy. Kaali, the brother of Kalakeya, who had fallen to the swords of Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva in a fierce battle, swore to destroy Mahishmati and its royal family. He knew that he stood no chance against the mighty kingdom as long as the two brothers were united. So he decided to exploit their weakness: their love for Devasena.
He knew that men could be easily seduced by women and that Devasena was the source of tension between the brothers. He manipulated Bijjaladeva, the bitter and jealous father of Bhallaladeva, to join his cause. He devised cunning plans and traps to sow discord and hatred among the brothers and weaken Mahishmati from within. His scheme worked and both Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva met their tragic ends, leaving only Mahendra and Kattappa alive.
Kaali was not satisfied with his victory. He wanted to wipe out the entire bloodline of Baahubali. He set his eyes on Kattappa, who was Mahendra's loyal protector and mentor. He sent his soldiers to assassinate Kattappa while he slept, but Kattappa was too skilled and alert to be caught off guard. He fought them off with ease. After several failed attempts, Kattappa became suspicious and followed the soldiers to their camp near Mahishmati. The next day, he returned to the same spot to investigate further.
He eavesdropped on the soldiers’ conversation about Kattappa, but they spotted him and switched their topic. They claimed that they were sent by the “Great Bismarck Ashoka: King of Samudra”, and they disclosed their reason for wanting to kill Kattappa. Kattappa found out that Bismarck Ashoka: King of Samudra had his sights set on Mahishmati. He trembled at the sound of his name.
Samudra is a mighty kingdom that surpasses Mahishmati in power and size. It is ruled by the great king Bismarck Ashoka, who commands a vast army of 150,000 soldiers and possesses the most advanced weapons. He is ambitious and wants to conquer Mahishmati, but he is also impressed by the warrior skills of Amarendra Baahubali. He decides to befriend him and form an alliance that would benefit both kingdoms in terms of military and trade.
Meanwhile, Kattappa is terrified and falls ill. Mahendra Baahubali asks him repeatedly what is the reason for his fear, but Kattappa refuses to tell. After some incidents, Mahendra Baahubali loses his patience with Kattappa and says "If you don't tell me what happened, you will not stay with me anymore." Kattappa then reveals what he heard from the soldiers.
Mahendra Baahubali learns that Bismarck Ashoka wants to take over Mahishmati. At the same time, a letter arrives from Bismarck Ashoka, saying that he wants to be friends with the great kingdom of Mahishmati. Mahendra Baahubali is enraged and misunderstands the letter. He thinks that Bismarck Ashoka wants to befriend Mahishmati and then betray it.
He wants to declare war on him immediately, but he waits for more information about his army. He prepares for war with the most powerful kingdom.
But on the other side, Kaali is enjoying himself. He thinks that Mahishmati will be destroyed by Bismarck Ashoka.
After a few days, Kattappa gets suspicious. He wonders why Bismarck Ashoka has not tried to kill him for the past two months. He goes back to the place where he saw the soldiers and follows them to Kaali's camp. He hides in the thick forest and sees that Kaali is behind everything. He observes everything and gathers information.
But Kaali also notices Kattappa. Kattappa runs away. He tells Mahendra Baahubali everything he saw and the story behind it.
Kaali is fearless and he attacks Mahishmati the next day with an army of 500,000 soldiers.
(Before this, Mahendra Baahubali had prepared an army of 30,000 soldiers to attack Bismarck Ashoka. Kattappa had also sought the help of Aslam Khan, who had 25,000 soldiers. Mahendra Baahubali declared war on Bismarck Ashoka, who had 150,000 soldiers. Mahendra Baahubali trained each of his soldiers to kill five enemies. 1:5.)
But Mahendra Baahubali was not ready for Kaali and he had to defend his kingdom. He changed all his army rules and made new plans.
The war begins
On this side On the other side
Mahendra Baahubali (25,000) Powerful Kaali (500,000)
Kattappa (5,000)
Aslam Khan (25,000)
Everyone in Mahendra Baahubali's army dies, except for three leaders and 5,000 soldiers.
On the other side, 200,000 soldiers and Kaali are left.
At the last moment, Kaali joins the war. As he attempts to kill Aslam Khan, a huge army arrives to attack Mahishmati. This army belongs to Bismarck Ashoka.
Bismarck Ashoka surveys the battlefield, littered with dead bodies and blood. As he watches Kaali raise his sword to kill Aslam Khan, he notices that Bahubali has fallen to the ground, unconscious. Understanding the situation, Bismarck Ashoka changes his mind. Instead of attacking Mahishmati, he becomes an ally and joins forces with Mahendra Bahubali to fight against Kaali.
Kaali's army is scared and runs away to save their lives, but Kaali is fearless. He wants to conquer Bismarck Ashoka as well, and he can kill 500 soldiers by himself.
He urges his army to fight back and kill with more power.
Everyone in both armies dies except for the five rulers:
1. Mahendra Baahubali
2. Bismarck Ashoka
3. Kattappa
4. Aslam Khan
5. Kaali
On the battlefield, Kaali fights alone against four warriors: Bahubali, Katappa, Aslam Khan, and Bismarck Ashoka. In this fearless battle, all are wounded and bleeding. Kaali raises his sword to strike Bismarck Ashoka from behind, but Bahubali intervenes. With a swift motion, he cuts off Kaali’s head. Blood pours from Kaali’s body like rain. As he dies, Kaali sees the image of his brother Kalakeya in his mind’s eye and remembers their past memories on his journey to death.
Bismarck Ashoka salutes Bahubali with gratitude for saving his life. In a gesture of friendship, he gifts his kingdom of Samudra to Bahubali in recognition of his bravery. Bismarck Ashoka is not powerless; he is skilled with the sword and knows how to deal with enemies, even when blindfolded. If Bahubali had not killed Kaali, Bismarck Ashoka would have done so with his own skills.
Bismarck Ashoka and Aslam Khan become friends and establish trade between their kingdoms. Together, they develop their lands and make Mahishmati even more powerful.
